This course introduces students to the fundamental elements of writing, essay writing and business writing for success in post-secondary and Early Childhood Education environments. Fundamental English writing concepts are taught at a secondary level.

Students will examine the basics of proper health practices, fundamentals of good nutrition, and the identification of safety and health components required in a centre for young children. Professional roles, responsibilities and ethics are explored. Issues in and identification of “quality” within a variety of ELCC settings are reviewed to support Early Learning and Child Care professionals to establish and maintain high quality child care programs.
